Fae

Your wind hums songs in my ears,

A beat to accompany my stride,

I'll mimic til we waltz to the cliffs edge,

The fae are calling to me,

They beckon me closer to the edge,

This time I might take the plunge,

Their dreams could be my reality.

I taste the souls here with every breath I take,

A rock perched to guide me home,

Down the cliff I climb,

The dirt crumbling beneath my weight,

The rock loosening under my grip,

I embrace the fall, the water is my cradle.

Maybe home is where my heart is,

But I dreamt of something grander than this pool,

Cyan skinned, I've dyed this home red,

Wring every last drop from my body,

I'm cold here, but the dark is drained too.
